Get Started

Everyone has a dream.

We help hard-working people as they strive to achieve theirs.

While the Lake Norman area is primarily affluent, thousands of our neighbors are struggling to attain economic stability. Whether someone wants to secure a better job, additional education, safer housing, or financial self-sufficiency, we are here to help. Our Center serves as a resource hub for families in Cornelius, Davidson, and Huntersville.

Steven’s Story

Steven S., a graduate of our LEARN Works program and a 2021 graduate of Hough High School, has started his college journey at Appalachian State University! Steven didn’t know how to navigate the college application process, but his Ada Jenkins Center family case manager, Maritza, worked with him to complete his FAFSA, plan his college essays, and apply to several colleges. Learn about LEARN Works!

LEARN Works is Ada Jenkins Center’s longest-running program. Operating for more than 15 years, LEARN Works is the only free afterschool academic program for area elementary and middle school students. Our students attend Davidson K-8, Cornelius Elementary, Huntersville Elementary, and Bailey Middle Schools and are referred to our program by a school teacher or administrator.
