Volunteer

Volunteers are an important part of the Ada Jenkins Center mission to help people in our community create lasting solutions for health, education and economic stability.  Volunteers are asked to commit for a least a year of service after training.

TO VOLUNTEER:

  1. Review the Center’s current volunteer needs which includes a brief volunteer job description as well as applicable volunteer times and age requirements for each opportunity.
  2. Complete an application and waiver. After we receive your application, you will receive an emailed invitation, within 3-5 days, to RSVP for one of our bi-monthly Volunteer Trainings. During Volunteer Training you will learn about the history of the Ada Jenkins Center, our client-partners and how volunteers support the Center’s mission.

Youth under 14 yrs may participate in volunteer activities with parent/guardian supervision. All minors must have a parent or guardian’s signature on their waiver.

At this time the Ada Jenkins Center does not have the capacity to manage court ordered community service volunteers.

VOLUNTEER GROUPS
We ask all group leaders to join us for a tour (RSVP below).  After the tour you will be emailed a Group Profile form to complete and return. Once we have your Group Profile, we will work to match your group with a project that helps meet our most pressing needs.

DONATION DRIVES
If you would like to host a donation drive please review our Greatest Needs List. Please note we do not have the resources to pick up donations. We kindly ask that you make arrangements to drop off your donations.
