Needs

Many thanks for thinking about the families we serve.

What our clients need most are merchant gift cards ($25-50) for needs such as:

  • groceries and other retail (Target, Walgreens, VISA, etc.)
  • gasoline

Our homeless clients need:

  • New hats (baseball caps or bucket hats)
  • New socks (Mens Large)
  • Sunscreen
  • Ponchos
  • Umbrellas
  • Mini flashlights and batteries
  • Drawstring tote bags

Our LEARN Works Afterschool Program needs:

Our food pantry needs:

  • condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise)
  • canned fruit – low sugar or in juice
  • crackers (all types)
  • instant coffee
  • grits
  • toilet tissue
  • salad dressings
  • 3-5 lb. bags of cat/dog food
  • full-size (not travel size) shampoo
  • deodorant
  • Toothbrushes, toothpaste, Bodywash (full size)
  • Diapers: sizes 3, 4, 5, 6
  • Adult Incontinence Underwear (like Depends): sizes M, L, XL

Interested in hosting a donation drive? Please contact us for more information. Please note we do not have the resources to pick up donations. We kindly ask that you make arrangements to drop off your donations.

If you are looking to donate the following:

  • Food and Hygiene Items:   Please contact our Food Pantry before donating.
  • School Supplies:   Please contact or Education Services team to learn what types of supplies our LEARN Works students may need.
  • Books:   Our students follow a structured curriculum that requires specific books; we are unable to accept other book donations at this time. Please consider donating books to our service partners Promising Pages, Goodwill and the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
  • Clothing:  We do not distribute clothing; instead we refer clients to our friends at Lydia’s Loft.
  • Art Supplies, Furniture and Household Items:  Due to space limitations, we are unable to accept these.  Please consider donating your items to our good friends at Goodwill, the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, or Beds for Kids (they take more than beds!)
