>When David and Lori Hoe, DVM, owners of Main Street Veterinary Hospital in Cornelius, wanted to share their generosity, they threw a huge lawn party–and invited their guests to make donations to the Ada Jenkins Center. “AJC is a trusted organization known for its transparency,” David explains. “We feel great about the work they are doing in our neighborhoods, and this is why we picked them for our private fundraising event.”

Lori Field, store manager of the newJ. McLaughlin location in Davidson, did something similar. Her company allows store managers to choose nonprofits to support with a portion of the store’s sales. Lori chose the store’s Grand Opening as it’s ‘Giving Day’ to the Ada Jenkins Center. “The Center does so many wonderful things to help the community,” she says. “I hope we can continue our partnership for many years. It’s such a great place.”

Generous “friend-raisers” like these are a wonderful help for the Ada Jenkins Center, introducing more people to the work that we do for Lake Norman neighbors in need. And they don’t require a lot of effort–simply an extra “ask” if you already have a party planned.

Whether day-long event like D9 Brewing’s recent Spring Fling Festival, corporate team-building events, or birthday tribute fundraisers, they all make us feel appreciated and supported within our community. 💖  We can even help promote your event, if you like!
