Looking to volunteer in our community?

Do good and feel good.  Volunteer to serve families in need.

If your New Year’s resolutions included getting involved in our community or helping others, there’s no better way than through volunteering your time and energy.

Research shows that volunteering:

  • Connects you with others
  • Builds self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Provides physical and mental health benefits
  • Gives you a sense of purpose
  • Helps you forget your own troubles, and focus on others’
  • Provides experience and develops skills that can help in the workplace

How Can You Get Involved?

Nearly 500 people volunteer each year at the Ada Jenkins Center, whether individually or in groups. Our volunteers:

  • Tutor our afterschool students
  • Organize school supplies and snacks
  • Restock the food pantry
  • Clean/prep classrooms
  • Make food deliveries when needed
  • Beautify our campus
  • … and so much more!
