Medical Clinic

Update (3/13/2020):

For the safety of our patients, volunteers and staff, Thursday walk-in clinics and Tuesday appointment clinics have been suspended until further notice.

Existing medical patients are encouraged to call our nursing staff at 704-896-0471, extension 111, for prescription refills and medical guidance.

The Ada Jenkins Medical Clinic provides high-quality medical services at no cost to uninsured patients in Northern Mecklenburg county. Primary care and specialty care is available to all ages for both acute and chronic conditions. The Clinic offers an array of services including nurse assessments, lab work, medication management, preventative care, patient education, and referrals for diagnostic testing or specialty care that we cannot provide onsite. Our Community Health Nurses serve as health educators, patient advocates, and referral agents for our patients.

Volunteers make these services possible. Dozens of local primary care physicians, medical specialists, mid-level practitioners, nurses, interpreters and administrators engage as medical clinic volunteers. Davidson College student volunteers play a critical role in clinic operations.

All patients must be uninsured and reside in Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson. To register as a patient, please bring:

  1. A valid form of picture ID
  2. Proof of address such as a utility bill
  3. Proof of income such as pay stubs for one month, a letter written by your employer. If you are not working then bring a letter of support written by whoever is providing for you

Tuesday mornings – by appointment only
Thursday evenings – walk-in clinic, with sign-in beginning at 3:30pm

Volunteers include medical professionals, specialists, interpreters, and administrative support.
