Annual Campaign
The Ada Jenkins Center relies on support from the community to meet the needs of those who come through our doors. We closed out our fiscal year on June 30th with a record breaking number of individuals served, 19,474 to be exact. We have seen a steady increase in the demand for services over the years and the economy does not show any sign of relief in sight. With the demand for services showing a steady increase of almost 30% per year, we know that our needs this year will be even greater.
The Ada Jenkins Center provides families with the basic necessities needed for survival. Food, shelter, clothing, medical and dental care. We do so in an environment that is welcoming, where individuals are not judged and are treated with respect.
This is possible for a number of reasons:
The financial support we receive from individuals, corporations, foundations, United Way, grants, civic groups and the faith community.
Our collaboration with key partners who were strategically selected to help meet a need in our community. Those include: Crisis Assistance Ministries, Department of Social Services, Safe Alliance, Lydia's Loft and the Bin.
We are constantly evaluating the needs of our clients, looking for gaps in the service area and how we can help fill them, either under our roof, or through a partner agency.

If the economic conditions have taught us one thing, it is that none of us is safe. Life sometimes throws us a curveball and despite the best planning, it could be one of us making the journey through Ada Jenkins red doors.
