The clinic is supported by many organizations and volunteers. Davidson College students, along with other community members, play an important role in maintaining the clinic's functions.
The Free Clinic of Our Towns is a community-wide volunteer organization dedicated to optimizing the health of those in need in the north Mecklenburg and south Iredell region. The primary goal of the clinic is to provide free medical care for the uninsured.
General medical care is available to all ages for both acute and chronic problems. The program
offers an array of services from nurse assessments, lab work, and medication management.
The clinic is limited in the types of medication it can provide; however, we strive to achieve positive experience and outcome for each and every client. While medical care is the primary goal of the clinic, it is integrated with other social services.
Service Eligibility
The Free Clinic of Our Towns serves individuals in the north Mecklenburg and south Iredell regions. These areas include Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, and Mooresville. To register as a patient, bring a valid form of ID and proof of address. The clinic provides medical care to all age groups.
