Free Medical Clinic

The Ada Jenkins Free Medical Clinic provides high-quality medical services at no cost to uninsured patients in North Mecklenburg and South Iredell counties. Primary care and specialty care is available to all ages for both acute and chronic conditions. The Clinic offers an array of services including nurse assessments, lab work, medication management, preventative care, patient education, and referrals for diagnostic testing or specialty care that we cannot provide onsite. Referrals are made between our three health programs to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care to address a variety of health-related issues. Referrals to other Ada Jenkins Center and community partner services are also available.

Volunteers make these services possible. Dozens of local primary care physicians, medical specialists, mid-level practitioners, nurses, interpreters and administrators engage as medical clinic volunteers. Davidson College student volunteers play a critical role in clinic operations.
